Why CFD?

Become a member of our team and have the opportunity to become integrated within our department.  As a volunteer you will have the chance to gain the experience and training needed to respond to a variety of emergency calls! Put your training to use!  We will pay to maintain your Fire and EMS certifications along with all necessary continuing education. 

Apply and come join a progressive and growing department and EMS system that takes great pride in not only its department but also its community.  Day and Shift spots (every 6th day) available. No residency requirements. 

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old                              

TCFP/SFFMA certified Firefighter and TDHS EMT-Basic for Volunteer positions only.

TCFP certified Firefighter and TDHS EMT-Basic for Full-Time paid positions only.           

*Paramedic Preferred

All candidates will have to fill out an application, take a physical agility test, have an oral interview, and successfully complete a background check/drug screen.

Children's Product Recall Information

Safe Kids USA offers monthly product recall notices regarding children's products and toys. Residents can go online to Safe Kids USA to sign up for the monthly online recall notices. Each month, new recall notices are posted and an archive of previous recalls is available as well.

The mission of KnoWhat2Do is to educate every citizen of the region on the steps they can take to be prepared for disaster and emergencies. Part of that education is to guide individuals to act on the information presented by KnoWhat2Do, by building their personal disaster kits, discussing, planning and practicing drills and scenarios with their families and keeping current on the news provided through the KnoWhat2Do website.
