CELINA, TX – The staff at the City of Celina today welcomed Robert Ranc, the new City Manager to Collin County’s fastest-growing city, and one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the United States.
Ranc, who most recently served as Deputy City Manager in Dublin, Ohio, returns to North Texas, having previously served in the City of Burleson along with two city stops in Utah. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Ranc was the finalist from a nationwide search in 2023 and was selected and approved by the Celina City Council at a meeting in November.
“The City of Celina is thrilled to welcome Robert Ranc and his family to their new home in our wonderful, growing community,” said Celina Mayor Ryan Tubbs. "Robert's vision and values align with Celina's heritage and our bright future. City Council is confident his work as City Manager will lead us through the exciting times ahead and will be transformational for our City."
Ranc’s lifelong passion for public service is seen in his service to his country and to the communities in which he has worked. He held positions in public service in the cities of Lehi and Ogden, Utah, and Burleson, Texas, before moving to Dublin. His civic leadership experience includes several forms of local government, and he has worked in community and economic development, redevelopment, tax increment finance districts, business retention, recruitment, and expansion.
"I am humbled and grateful to be here and to have this opportunity to serve the City of Celina. Celina is not only a city growing towards an exciting future, it is a warm and welcoming city. My family and I are fortunate to be part of this fantastic community," said Ranc.
