CELINA, TEXAS – The City of Celina announced on Wednesday, November 8, that it has earned a National Standard designation in the Top Workplaces rankings by The Dallas Morning News.

Celina was the only government organization to be honored in the midsize category, which accounted for companies with 150 – 499 employees. Celina was one of two government organizations ranked among the 200 companies and organizations ranked by The Dallas Morning News.

“Our City of Celina staff’s unmatched dedication and tireless efforts in serving our residents have justifiably earned them this high acclaim, and I couldn’t be prouder,” said Celina Mayor Ryan Tubbs. “The ongoing recognitions they receive underscore their unified dedication to our motto, Life Connected. Their ability to make every interaction enjoyable and to instill a sense of pride in living and working in our wonderful community is truly commendable.”

“Having served in numerous capacities in multiple municipalities, I can confidently say that this staff we have in Celina is greatly deserving of this, and every recent recognition they have received,” said Celina Interim City Manager Karla Stovall. “I have residents regularly compliment the quality of the employees and the service the staff offers throughout the City of Celina, and I am proud that they are being honored with this designation.”

The Dallas Morning News Top Workplaces awards recognize the top public, private, nonprofit, and government organizations in Dallas/Fort Worth. The survey, which was issued by Energage, assessed key factors such as company leadership, career opportunities, work-life balance, and employee engagement to determine its award winners.

In April, Celina earned two Top Workplace Culture Excellence Awards for Leadership and Purpose & Values. The survey is based solely on employee feedback and celebrates organizations that excel in specific awards of workplace culture. The Leadership Award celebrates organizational leaders who inspire confidence in employees and the company's direction. The Purpose & Values Award celebrates organizations that have successfully communicated the company missions and integrated those aspirations into the culture.
