CELINA, TX – The City of Celina announced the return of its annual Touch-a-Truck presented by Cook Children’s Health Care System, an interactive event that educates and entertains residents and friends from around North Texas.
The event, which is free to the public, will be held at Celina’s Downtown Square on Saturday, September 16, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Touch-a-Truck presented by Cook Children’s Health Care System will feature vehicles from the City, including the Fire Department, Police Department, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation, as well as equipment used by additional City contractors. In addition, the event will feature booths from City Departments where residents will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions to City staff.
Children of all ages will have the opportunity to take pictures with City vehicles and the staff members who operate them on a daily basis. In addition, children will enjoy a Kids Zone sponsored by REX Real Estate that will feature games and bounce houses. Food vendors will be on hand for one of the City’s most family-friendly events.
“I am thrilled that families in our community will be able to experience the vast array of City vehicles and staff members who use them every day in and around the City of Celina,” said Celina Mayor Ryan Tubbs. “Along with kids’ favorite Police and Fire vehicles, Touch-a-Truck offers attendees a first-hand look at some of the finest municipal equipment in the country and allows them the opportunity to interact with the wonderful people who protect and shape our City.”
