Main Street Advisory Board
The City of Celina was designated as an official Main Street City by the Texas Historical Commission and the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1997 and for over 20 years the Historic Downtown Square has remained the heart of the city.
The Celina Main Street Program is an all-volunteer organization that accomplishes its work through four standing committees with a volunteer advisory board assisting incoordination and a paid director to oversee administration. In the Main Street approach, the staff's responsibilities includes advancing efforts that effect:
Design * Economic Vitality * Promotions * Organization
The Celina Main Street Program is apart of the Main Street America and Texas Main Street programs that have been helping communities revitalize their downtowns and commercial districts for over 35 years. Celina received National Accreditation from Main Street America for 2018 and 2019. Celina is also a member of the Texas Downtown Association.
As a Main Street America™ Accredited program, Celina is a recognized leading program among the national network of more than 1,200 neighborhoods and communities who share both a commitment to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development. All Main Street America™ Accredited programs meet a set of National Accreditation Standards of Performance as outlined by the National Main Street Center.

Main Street Advisory Board
- Meets the 1st Thursday of every month at 8:00 a.m.
- Advises council and makes recommendations regarding the Downtown Historic District
