Recent and Upcoming Projects

The City of Celina is putting forth an initiative to transform the Historic Downtown Square into a thriving arts and entertainment district that incubates new creative talent.

The Downtown Master Plan was adopted by City Council in January 2019 and included the vision of public art that contributes to Downtown and its story. In October 2019, the City issued an RFQ. Bristen Philips, a Celina resident, and artist, was selected through the RFQ process and the City of Celina has worked with him to tell the story of Celina and its heritage through a series of murals at the corner of Ohio and Walnut. The series of murals will welcome residents and visitors as they enter Downtown Celina.

Murals are located at the intersection of Ohio Dr and Walnut St.
