Celina City Council

The City of Celina is a home rule city with six Council Members and a Mayor.  The Mayor and each Council Member is elected under an at-large place system, meaning that each Council Member represents the City as a whole rather than one part of the City.

Form of Government

The City of Celina is a Home Rule City and is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and within the framework of the City Charter. The City operates under a Council-Manager form of government, which combines representative democracy through elected officials with a City Manager who is professionally trained and educated to manage the day-to-day operations of the City.
