Elections

The City Secretary serves as the Chief Election Official for the City of Celina.  City elections shall be conducted in accordance with the Texas Election Code.  The regular city elections shall be held annually on the second Saturday in May.  Special elections shall be held on dates as required by the Texas Election Code.
The City of Celina operates as a Home Rule Municipality with a Council/Manager form of government.  The Mayor and six Council Members are elected at large.
