Code Red: Emergency Notification on Any Phone

coderedThe CodeRED and WeatherALERT systems give city officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour. Such systems are only as good as the telephone database supporting them. "If your phone number is not in the database, you will not be called". The CodeRED system gives individuals and businesses the ability to add their own phone numbers directly to the system's telephone database. Individuals and businesses can link to the "CodeRED Residential and Business Data Collection" page by clicking this CodeRED Link.

Emergency Escape Plan

One of the most important things to teach your family is how to get out of your home in a fire situation.  Each home should develop an emergency escape plan.  Once this plan is developed it is important to practice your emergency escape at least twice a year.  The video on the right will help you develop your plan and better explain it’s importance to you and your family.

Home Sprinklers

Statistics tell us that most Americans that die in fires, die in their own homes.  More than 2000 people die in fires each year in the United States.  Because of this, the Celina City Council passed an ordinance that requires fire sprinklers  to be installed in all new structures, regardless of square footage.  This includes all one and two family homes.  This the impact residential fire sprinklers have in home safety.   If you have any questions concerning residential fire sprinklers, call the Celina Fire Marshal at 972-382-2653.
