On the fourth Saturday of each month, Waste Management will collect your brush and bulky household items. You will be entitled to place an additional four cubic yards of material for collection on this day, Examples of bulky items include a couch or washing machine.

All brush must be bundled and tied into piles not more than four feet in length and not more than 40 pounds.

Please call Waste Management at 1-800-772-8653 to get on the Bulky Waste pick-up list by noon on the Friday before the 4th Saturday.  Please remember Waste Management does not collect hazardous waste.  Freon must be removed from applicable appliances.

• All residents will receive trash collection twice a week from the green/maroon cart.
• All residents will receive recycle collection once a week from the blue cart.
• If you live EAST of Preston Rd your trash collection day will be Monday and Thursday.
• If you live WEST of Preston Rd your trash collection day will be Tuesday and Friday.
• Recycle collection day is Wednesday for all residents.
• Please remember that your cart must be at the proper collection location by 7:00am on your collection day.
• The collection service is fully automated so all trash must be in the cart, with the lid closed. Any excess trash outside the cart will not be collected.
• You will need to properly place your cart as close to the street as practical, and the serial number must face the street. There must be at least two feet of clearance on either side of the cart in order for the automated arm to pick up and empty the cart.
• For residents who routinely generate more trash than one cart will accommodate, a second cart may be rented. Please contact the City for additional information on the second cart option.

Recycling at a Glance:

• On Wednesdays, place your recycling cart out for collection no later than 7 a.m.  Make sure your cart handles face your house, that'll make it easier for the collection crew and help to keep the litter down.
• You don't have to separate out your recyclables, and you don't have to put them in a bag, just rinse them and throw them all into the blue container together.
• Please rinse out any food containers before you put them in the cart - food waste can spoil the whole load of recyclable material.
• Don't overfill the container.  The lid must remain closed to make sure that your recycling isn't blown out of your cart (and all over the neighborhood).
• Make sure not to put anything dangerous in the cart, including ashes, coals, paint, chemicals, etc.  These can not only damage the equipment or start a fire in the truck, but it will also spoil the whole recycling load.
• When your cart is emptied, bring it back to your house.
