Library on the Square: Celina Public Library opened its doors to the public on October 24, 2009 at 10:00a.m.!! Books are on the shelves, furniture is in, and technical “stuff” is in place. Over the past three months, there has been a lot of activity on the north end of City Hall as renovation of offices into a library took place. Time, talent and hard work have combined to make Celina Public Library a reality. Along the way so many of you have stopped by, taken a peek, and offered encouragement as the work proceeded. Now everyone can come in and register for a library card, browse a bit, and YES, check out books. Come by and share in our excitement as the Library on the Square joins in the festivities of Fun Day! Just come to the Library on the Square and show a government-issued picture ID (Drivers License, DPS ID, etc.). Anyone residing in the state of Texas is eligible to register for a Celina Public Library card.
New Arrivals at the Library on the Square The Celina Public Library has acquired the following new books. They are available to be checked out for a period of two (2) weeks on a first-come, first-served basis. Because these are high demand books, only two (2) books are allowed to be checked out at one time. In addition, these books cannot be reserved or renewed as long as they are on the NEW BOOK shelf.
