In May of 2007, the citizens of Celina adopted a Home Rule Charter which established, among other things, a Council/Manager form of government. The City Manager is the City's chief executive and is responsible for overseeing the city government organization to ensure it is managed efficiently and effectively. The City Manager serves at the pleasure of and advises the Mayor and City Council, appoints and leads all department directors, prepares a proposed annual budget for Council consideration, administers municipal laws and ordinances, and coordinates city operations and programs.
Jason Gray was appointed City Manager effective May 2007 after being appointed City Administrator since March of that year. Jason, his wife Kelli, and their children are proud to call Celina their home.
