The Fiber Optic Line was repaired this morning (2/4/2012) at 5:20am.  911 and phone services have been restored.  Thank you for your patience and thank you to the crews who worked diligently to restore operations.

The City of Celina is currently without phone service as of 2/3/2012. The main fiber optic line servicing the city has been cut. This reduction in service includes your 911 calls. Crews are working to get the phone service operational as soon as possible.

If you have an emergency and you are not able to use a mobile device to call 911, there will be personnel at the Celina Fire Station located at 311 N. Louisiana Dr., until the phone service is restored.

Notice of Deadline to File Aplications for Place on the Ballot.  You may file for a place on the May 12, 2012 Celina General Election Ballot from February 4, 2012 until 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2012.

 Happy New Year 

Looking back at 2011 the City of Celina saw a tremendous amount of celebrations and improvements. Construction was completed on the Downtown Square and our citizens helped us celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Square On October 15th. McDonalds and Quik Lube and Tune are among several of our newest businesses. New homes are again adorning the horizon. Recently Celina enjoyed a balloon festival that attracted thousands of patrons to our community to enjoy food, fun and festivities.

For the 4^th consecutive year, The National Association of Town Watch (NATW) has selected the Celina Police Department as a national award winner for its participation in the 2011 National Night Out. Celina has been selected as a National Award Winner for outstanding participation in the 28th Annual National Night Out.  Celina placed 7^th nationally in Category 5, cities with a population of 15,000 and under.

The NATW is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of organized, law enforcement-affiliated crime and drug prevention programs. Members include: Neighborhood, Crime, Community, Town and Block Watch Groups; law enforcement agencies; state and regional crime prevention associations; and a variety of businesses, civic groups and concerned individuals working to make their communities safer places in which to live and work.
