(1) City Staffing (Police, City Manager's Office, Code Enforcement) 2 new police officers hired, Sr. Administrative Assistant included in FY10 budget, and new Code Enforcement Officer has been hired.   
(1) Complete a Strategic Economic Development Plan Plan has been delivered by Buxton  
(1) Resolve Downtown Drainage Issues Alabama Street drainage channel completed. Several culverts repaired and/or replaced. Ditch cleaning/reconstruction has been completed along CR55 and CR56. Construction for long-range solutions has yet to be funded.  
Additional Parkland Acquisition Working with Light Farms on obtaining public park space and grant funding to develop.  
Begin Outdoor Warning Sirens Not yet started, funding contingent on a bond election.  
Complete Acquisition of Doe Branch Not yet started, funding continegent upon bond election.  
Development of an Annexation Plan Working with City Attorney on a 2009 annexation plan.  
Development of Historic District TIRZ established, City Hall renovations completed, Library established on the Square.  
Increase Effectiveness of Website & City Communications Website redesigned and consistently maintained, subscription email newsletter now being offered, facebook and twitter now being offered, and working through logistics of town hall meetings.  
Recruit a Higher Education Institution Collin College has purchased property and announced that they will build a campus east of Preston Road along CR88.
