On the first Saturday of every month Collin County in partnership with the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) hosts its monthly Collin County Cleanup Day. From 8am to 2pm Collin County residents can drop off the following at the NTMWD landfill on Highway 121 in Melissa at no charge:

Residents must have proof that they live in Collin County (driver's license or water bill will work) and all loads must be covered.
As you can see, we cannot take chemicals and household hazardous waste at this monthly event. However, Collin County will sponsor a "Chemical Cleanup" on Monday, September 28, from 8am to 1pm at Myers Park on County Road 166 in McKinney.
This event is open to all residents and like our monthly cleanup day, it is free.
