Water Conservation Classes

This program teaches the very basic understanding of how your home sprinkler system operates, programming the controller, and making minor repairs. A properly functioning sprinkler system saves you time, plants, money, and water!

Scheduled Preston Road Closures - 6/9/13 Update
Preston Road Scheduled Closures:
Please note the updated dates. TxDOT has scheduled to close sections of Preston Road so that the new southbound lanes may be installed. Beginning June 9th a small segment will be closed and completed each night for six consecutive nights between 7PM and 6AM. The closure will take place in five manageable segments with a goal of completing one section per night. The final segment is expected to be completed on June 20th. A detour route with appropriate signage will be in place, and can also be accessed at the link below. For more information please contact Public Works at 972-382-2682.

NOTE: Construction will not take place the night of Sunday, June 9 due to rain. It will resume on Monday, June 10.
Road Closures
On Thursday, June 20th from 9:00AM to 3:30PM the intersection at FM 455 and SH 289 (Preston Rd) will be closed due to road construction. All traffic will be re-routed to BUS 289.
From Monday, June 24th to Thursday, July 25th there will be a closure of the eastbound lane on Frontier Parkway at the intersection of SH 289. Click here for a detour map.
Continuation of Stage 1 Water Restrictions
While recent rain has helped to augment local water supply reservoirs, lake levels still remain low. Celina continues to maintain Stage 1 Water Restrictions at the request of Upper Trinity Regional Water District. Under Stage 1, outdoor watering is limited to twice per week and is prohibited between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.. Voluntary water conservation is also encouraged.
